Can a 16 month old get whooping cough if the had all the shots

Report as

A 16 month old baby can get whooping cough despite the fact he or she had all the shots. However, such a case is very rare. Wearing odd of the vaccination is what can result to such a case.

Yes. The vaccination doesn't mean they WON'T get it. It just greatly reduces the chances to almost zero, but it is still possible.

Yes they can, a vaccination helps PREVENT whooping cough, but in rare cases they can still get it. But don't be alarmed, it could just be a bad cold, a few years ago I was coughing very bad, pretty much like very 10 seconds, I went to many doctors, at first I thought it may be strep throat or whooping cough but everyone said I was fine, so it may just be that.

yes bc they're only vaccinated for an infant type of pertussis. adult pertussis can be passed to babies, so it's important for some adults to receive the vaccine as well.
