Y = log x
If y = 10, then what is x?

X is 10^10. under the log there is "10", but we don't write it if this number is 10. You cross that under Y. Replace the "Y" with "10".

This is hard but I asked my dad and he figured it out but he had to use a calculator a little. Every month, a girl gets allowance. Assume last year she had no money, and kept it up to now. Then she spends 1/2 of her money on clothes, then 1/3 of the remaining money on games, and then 1/4 of the remaining money on toys. After she bought all of that, she had $7777 left. Assuming she only gets money by allowance, how much money does she earn every month?

I hope I get the question right(You know, I am not solving math questions in English, because of that this comes to me a little bit strange). Let's solve. She spent her money to clothes, she has 1/2 of her money left. Then she spends "the remaining money" on games. So "x" 1/2 with 1/3 = 1/6. Lets find the total spent. 1/2 at first, now 1/6. "+" = 4/6 = 2/3. Now lets find remaining money. 1 "-" 2/3 = 1/3. We have to find money spent on toys. 1/4 "x" 1/3 = 1/12. So total spent is 2/3 "+" 1/12 = 9/12. Remaining money 1 "-" 9/12 = 3/12 = 1/4. 1/4 money is 7777$ . So if we want to find a month, firstly we will find the year, then the month. 7777 "x" 4 ":" 12 = is your answer.

Because of solving it from my mind while writing in english, yes I did mistake.(And also it was 02.00(night) in Turkey so I was sleepy too. I will try again now. But this time we wont get lost with the "/" things. I know a shortcut maybe you know this too. 1/2, 1/3 and 1/4. 2,3,4 the smallest same number is 12(I mean you can divide it to 2,3 and 4). Lets say to the girls money 12y. She spent 6y to the clothes(1/2), 6y left. She spent 2y to games, 4y left(1/3). She spent 1y to toys(1/4) Total spent 9y. 3y left. 3y is 7777 dollar. so 12y is 7777x3 for one mont it is 7777/4 (I am not finding the same answer with you maybe you could have written the question wrong, or maybe english is not my native lang. I could have understand the question wrong sorry)

My answer is the same as immobilizersystem's. He said
x = 10^10 which = 10,000,000,000.
Look at the first line of his answer.
Here's how:
y = log x, with y = 10
means log x = 10
means 10^10 = x
so 10,000,000,000 = x
