I need a new GPS!!! what kind of GPS is best?

I recently had TomTom and it sent my wife 4 hours out of her way just to avoid maybe an hours worth of road work?? I need a new type of GPS any suggestions?

NOT MAGELLAN!!!! that one is the worst!!! confusing to operate, and it took us 1.5 hours out of the way to avoid about 30 minutes worth of electric work.

Have a smart phone? Use it. Android/Verizon has the best GPS phone apps IMHO. Tom Tom and Garmin are the tops out there.

Garmin the highest priced one i have seen is 150 dollar lowest 60 Bucks

My Garmin nuvi landed me in a cemetery off of a duty road once! Sometimes they just go goofey. You kind of have to know where you are going so that if they steer you wrong, you know it.
