Should I go out for coffee with this guy?

Its been a few months since the death of Craig and I guess that I should get over it. Jeremy, a friend of both mine and Craig's, just recently got back from Chile and wants to go and get a coffee. He says it's just a coffee, but I don't know. He has so much history with Craig and I, I just feel like if I do go to this get this coffee, I would forget about Craig all together

dont feel like that, a cup of coffee with the guy would do you good, why dont you just give it a try, if he has that much history, i doubt he will let you forget a memory of a person that both of you knew so well

No only will it help you move on ( not forget!) He will also reflect Craig since he knew him too! He will help make you remember the good times instead of the sadness of his passing. I say go for it! It is only coffee:)

I think that giving it a chance wouldn't hurt. If you feel at some point during the coffee that you need to leave, then just check your phone and pretend that you have to leave. He'll most likely buy it. If you are worried about forgetting Craig, then you could try praying for him and keeping a journal about how you feel. However, it is important that you don't let your loss take over your entire life. He would have wanted you to move on and keep going.

If him and Craig have history I'm sure it is just coffee. If it isn't then he's breaking bro-code rules. I'm sure he just wants to talk about the both of you missing Craig.

I think you should. You'll never forget about someone you lose, and If you were both mutual friends with Craig maybe this will help you bring some closure to your situation. It might seem strange at first but if this guy (jeremy) makes you happy then you should go out with him. I Don't know you but i'm assuming that craig would want you to be happy, and dwelling on his death is not going to bring him back. Moving on doesn't mean forgetting. I'm sorry for your loss and good luck to you.

Go and have fun! His having history with you and this guy would actually make having some coffee with this guy a lot better than just some other random guy. This is because he understands your situation a lot more and you have so many similarities. I think reading "The Guardian" by Nicholas Sparks would help you to analyze this situation better as well. Don't worry, it's not a self help book or anything.... It's a good novel, with situations like yours. My condolences, and please take my advice. Achieving these tasks might help the both of you cope. I truly hope that I could be of some assistance to you.

It's coffee. And if he was a close friend of Craig he is probably hurting too maybe you too can keep his memories alive. And there is no time limit on how fast u have to heal from a death.
