What happens to the recycled trash?

recycling

Report as

The waste materials that go into the recycling plants in Maryland are recycled to produce usable products, which are then brought back into circulation. For instance, waste paper like magazines and newspapers are recycled to make more paper. Plastic makes new containers, carpeting, and fleece clothing.

Each recyclable item is sorted to be with like material. Newspapers with newspapers. Steel with steel. Aluminum with Aluminum. and so on.

Then they are crushed, shredded and/or smelted into its basic components and reprocessed back into "stuff."

when they get a hold of paper i know it is put into like a musher where they turn the paper into soggy and stuff to get the ink out and what ever else is in it, then they use it and carve out new sheets of paper once it all has been drained of the ink.
