as you mentioned the main difference is accent. there's a huge difference in tonality that people from France and Quebec sometimes don't understand each other. also there is a big difference in vocabulary and especially slang. in Quebec French when you want to swear you add religious terms but in French in France they don't do it or so i hear. French French(lol) is more formal like British English comparing to American English. for example French people use"vous" for second person(they use it for respecting that person. Persians do this too) although in Quebec French we simply say"tu". as example for other differences in expression French people say : le parking, le weekend, les baskets,Voiture but we say:la stationement, le fin de semaine, les souliers de course, Char so many words have a meaning in quebec french but their meaning is totally different in france like: Aubaine =sale(in quebec) =opportunity(in france), cahr=car(in quebec)=tank(in france) and a lot more. ohhh i got tired.
