When starting to live by yourself what groceries should you buy ?

I have a project where I have to buy all of the things I need when I'm living by myself

I always try and have some oatmeal on hand, cinnamon, Stevia, soup, nuts, frozen blueberries and strawberries (when I can't get them in season), a bag of Salmon (or any kind of fish or chicken) that is individually wrapped (about 6 or 8 to a bag that stays in the freezer), some sweet potatoes, fresh fruit and veggies, soy milk and eggs, some protein shakes.

Some of the essential groceries include bread, eggs, milk, cereal and oats. In addition, other pantry staples like rice, cooking oil, dried beans, four, sugar, salt and canned tomatoes are also needed. Additionally, vegetables, fruits, meat, poultry and herbs and spices of your choice are also necessary.

I would start off with eating McDonald's. Then, learn how to make my own "McDonald's" and buy everything needed.
