Is direct student aid a legit company

Report as

I am a client of Direct Student Aide they keep telling me to ignore any other Loan Institution and claims they are the real deal. I am reluctant to remain a client with them. The only thing they are concern about is if I keep up the bi-weekly fees they set up. When I don't that is the only time I hear from them. They have not resolved anything for me. I will not give them proper bank info to deduct from until I know for certain that they are legit and have in fact helped others eliminate their college loan. Then they can help me eliminate my college loan and interest that goes back 30 years ago. Right now is over $18,000. I don't trust this company. They want to collect from me $700 first before I see any results they claim. But I feel once they have $700 of my money they will be history and I won't be able to get my refund back. Also some of the representatives are very rude and don't really give you enough info or help and act like they don't want to answer the questions I have. If I am going to invest my money the company had better answer some questions I have about their legitimacy and assistance. I'm sure it's a lot of fraudulent companies out there.

From a variety of reviews and check ups, direct student aid does not seem to be a legit company. It does not have a BBB accreditation maybe because they have not applied for it. Thus, one is advised to take care when partaking in any form of agreement with them.

I used College Lending Solutions located in Salem, NH and they got my federal student loans out of default in a couple of months. Their phone number is 877-509-3179 and ask for George he is very good.

Do it yourself!!! Why would you pay someone hundreds of $$$ for something that's free and you can do yourself? http://loanconsolidation.ed.gov/

Wow, that is a false answer and from reading that answer i can see that its a opinion. i was paying almost 500$ a month, i called the government many times and if i was lucky to get some one on the phone, they would tell me they couldn't do anything about it. Direct Student Aid consolidated all my loans (which were in default) and got me a new payment of 41$. I referred them to a lot of classmates. i recommend calling them and seeing what they can do for you.
