No; it's maybe not the highest-ranking degree in terms of the most useful in todays' job market, but it's certainly not useless. Play your cards right, and you'll be fine. It's certainly better than a degree in European Art History.

If you can afford college to begin with, you sure as hell don't need to listen to some opinionated liberal a-hole ramble on about 99% shit you don't care about and about 1% that may actually be useful in your career. There are many government puppets who get paid decent but spent a fortune to get there or became government property. Also now days with our economy the way it is, they are many people with a masters degrees working menial jobs. There finally seems to be some awareness of the deficit, so government jobs will be inevitably be cut and justice is becoming a thing of the past. Get smart on your own and figure things out for yourself through the university of hard knocks that is the best and most affordable way.
