Pre- AP trouble, battle of the family, what should I do?

Next year I will be taking Pre- AP and my family agreed on me taking the MTB stream. My parents want me to take French or Art, but I want to take Physical Education. My parents also want me to take sociology or computer science, but I want music. They want me to take sociology because it is easy. They want me to take computer science because it is what they got their degrees in. My parents want their choices because they want my university application to look diverse. They said they want me to try new courses/ topics. I want my choices because I think I will do well in those courses. My parents think my choices are too easy, and find me lazy in my choices. I can always take the advanced courses the following year, as they are a grade ahead. I get that they want the best for me, and are only saying this for my benefit. They said they want me to be like them, but maybe I don't want to be like them. I want to be my own person, not a mirror image of my parents. I get how this may seem rebellious, but I think everyone needs their own spark of individuality.

Talking it out with my parents just leads to more arguing, it makes me really sad and uncertain about my future.
