Can I sue my neighbor for throwing his used needles in my yard

when the police confronted him, he admitted they were his, but didn't know how they got in my yard

First, document the incidents by taking photos of the discarded needles. Second call the police and SHOW them the evidence / needles. Third, if both fail, sue in small claims court.

The best thing to do is to warn your neighbor against doing this first and find out how the needles got into your yard. If he does not adhere to the warning, then you can go ahead and report him to the necessary authorities.

I think maybe you should try having mercy on your neighbor. At least try telling him to throw his needles in a trash can.

Better yet ... give him one of those special containers for safely disposing of needles.

You can sue ... you can also report him to whatever agency is in charge of toxic/hazardous waste, where you live. Needles are ALWAYS viewed as a bio-hazard, and have to be disposed of per special regulations.

Did the cops atleast make fella pick them up since he admitted they were his property ? Contact your local health dept.....and I would video the fella then charge him with littering, public endangerment.
