Do you think teenagers learn important life lessons from their elders or must they learn them through experience?

Explain using specific examples.

Both ways adults do no from experience but there just some things you will have to no and learn on your own and any smart teen will learn that if you live by the golden rule treat others as you would like to be treated screw all this bulling shit. Bullies get bullied later in life and wished they never did it when they were young or there in the big house where you will never want to be be safe and learn respect and you will receive respect good luck ;~>)

Most teenagers are too dumb to learn from elders and parents

Both. There are somethings you need to experience and some you should just take their word for. I learned that the hard way.

Some teenagers learn important life lessons from their elders. However, there are some who don’t have elders to advice them and so, they have to learn through experience. Others will also ignore what the elders say and learn on their own.

well it goes both ways, your elders have probably gone through experiences that you want to know about and they could inform you about that stuff. but also they could have reacted in a different way and therefore you would have to experience what ever it is that you want.
i don't know an example though, sorry Dx

It's probably about 50/50 some kids just have to experience things themselves to actually see for themselves even after we try to tell them.
