Because many Americans have not read the Constitution or don't understand what it means.
They think that pushing religion into the government is fine since it's THEIR religion.
They think the right to bear arms means unlimited weaponry when it was really intended for a well regulated militia.
They misunderstand much.

i guess its just the way we are, either way you are going to get skrewed by the government, if not this way, then another. but if you want to, then just start a protest.
dude, its the government, not to long ago they were about to take our internet away, they can do anything they want really.
The gov is every, all seeing eye
the goal of all governments is to control everything like the communist that's why we set up the rock, paper, scissors vortex or as you may know it "the system of checks and balances" and now all three branches have formed a secret alliance while distracting the confused voters into accepting it
and, if they gave their way, the right to bare arms.
The right to bear arms does not mean you have the right to bear them with no regulations. And most responsible gun owners, like myself, have no problems with tightening loose restrictions on gun ownership.
Prophecy is on track to lead us to a one world government and religion.
This will ussher in the second coming of Christ. Christians have nothing to fear.

There are people who profit from our stupidity and for that those who would deny us our civil liberties are given ground to stand on when in many cases these entities are one in the same.
