It can be but you have to be VERY careful taking this supplement, it interacts with nearly ALL other medications including many over the counter meds. If you take *anything* else on a regular basis you need to speak to your pharmacist or doctor before starting this supplement.
Other herbs are better for relaxing. Are you ingesting a lot of caffeine? St. John's wort isn't the best choice. Go to a health food store and browse for natural remedies. Meditation helps a lot for calming ones mind and body. Bach flower remedies are great too. peace out!
