Should I put ice on a burn?

Accidentally burned my finger using a straightner.

if its a heat vs. chemical burn, cold water's the approved method. i have used ice best result. it must be kept on B EYOND the 'burn' sensation from the ice in order to restore the burnt skin. if the skin warms up b4 the ice stops the skin from 'cooking,' or u use it after some time's passed, it won't work very well, tho. ice has to b applied immediately!
