I have closed a credit card account. How long should I keep the old records and statements for?

There is no need of keeping them unless you still have issues with the account. In case you require a casual reference to a transaction, most card issuers usually have electronic statements obtainable through their websites.

I'd keep them for at least 5 yrs.
