Can you help me for my math problem? It's confusing me!! Solve the following system of equations.
d + e = 6
d - e = 4

Please help!

So...to solve it:
You can Add the columns
D+e+(D-e)=6+4
So: 2D=10
or D=5
Plug that in to either equation
D+e=6
5+e=6
e=6-5
e=1

Therefore: D=5 and E=1

do you mean d+e=6d and then -e=4 ??

D=5 e=1. 5+1=6. 5-1=4

If d + e = 6 then d = 6 - e ( - e from both sides of first equation)
Now just substitute d in the second equation with this: 6 - e
(6 - e) - e = 4
