I have a 93 Chevy cheyenne...the odometer isnt working...i have 4 brand new tires on it so its not the tires,,,its rear wheel drive.plz help

If the speedometer is functioning but the odometer is not, the problem then has to be within the speedometer assembly. If nothing works it could be (still) the speedometer or its drive cable or the transmission (where the cable originates.)

If you changed the tire size then it will make a difference in the speedometer reading. The speedo is driven by the transmission and is set up for the standard size tires. If it is a constant error, a speedometer shop can make an adjustment or replace a drive gear to get your reading more accurate.

The reason why your odometer is not working is probably because the planetary gear is worn out. Therefore, you should shift your focus from the tires and check if the planetary gear needs to be replaced.
