I have a female oriented question!!!

Read additional info.

ok I'm a guy, in a health education class filled almost entirely (including a female teacher) with females, and I have to do a report on "periods". and I REALLY don't want to be wrong on this, because of I am, it's gonna be obvious to everyone but me. and here's the thing: because the teacher is EXTREMELY sexist and cruel, she said that it had to be from real people. not Wikipedia or anything. for the other topics, it would be fine, except I was sick with the flu, and the class dislike the fact that there's a boy in the class, and they have said so on multiple occasions. so id really like to NOT mess this up. here are the questions. 1. does getting your period hurt? 2. how does it affect your normal life? 3. what works better, tampons or pads? and lastly, 4. do you know when you have gotten it? now something you should know, I AM NOT A PERVERT!!!!! and don't worry about names, if one name ( or username) is used, not only do I fail the extremely valuable 15% final mark, but I also get suspended for a minimum of a week. i can't fail this class! seriously, these girls are not nice to the only boy in the class, and the constantly mock, insult, and make rude, nasty, an often sexual comments at me. the teacher just let's it happen. she favors the girls, and I'd really like to make that teacher give me a 100% and ruin her day. she hates it whenever I get a good mark. and frankly, that's not what being a teacher is about. please help!!!

report the teacher to the principle, i think most board rules say she cant ask anyone a question that it is impossible for him to answer from his own study or experience, this is a question designed to create a problem for you, i doubt the principle will tolerate it.

1. Cramps hurt, but your period itself does not hurt.
2.Frequent changes of pads or tampons can extend bathroom time
3. tampons
4. yes, hormone changes, cramps, and blo0d in the undies

Report your teacher's behavior to the principal, it sounds very unacceptable.

I like pads better

I used to use pads until I was 17 because I was scared of sing tampons. Tampons are much more clean :)

That's awful about your teacher. I'd talk to someone about her. But to answer your question 1. The actual bleeding doesn't hurt, but girls can get really bad cramps that hurt like no other. I don't get the bad, but I have friends that have left school because of them. 2. it can be inconvenient to be in the bathroom a longer time or have to go more frequently to change. Also, it can just be annoying because some girls get moody or they're in pain. they just suck basically. 3) I prefer tampons but some girls like pads. 4) yes you know when you get it. there will be blood in their underwear and they might get signs before like breaking out in acne or being irritable or craving certain food. Good luck!

Yes it hurts, it totally makes life suck because you can't go anywhere without tampons in a bag or something. Tampons are much better. And yes, because it feels like niagra falls in your vagina.

1. Yes periods can hurt women, in their lower back, migraines, or stomache aches.
2. It effects a women's life because she may not be able to do stuff she normally does. It could be because of the splitting pain, or when bleeding, there could be a leak and they do not want to be noticed.
3. That is always based on an opinion. Pads work better for some, tampons work best for others.
4. There are signs to when your period might be coming. Gas, tiredness, aches and pains.. But it differs from every girl. Some women do not get any signs at all. When you start your period each month, you will either feel blood leaking, or some of the painful symptoms.

Hope this helped. :)

I will be praying for you, because this is really wrong for a teacher to do, and it is probably really embarrassing to you. I will try to give you my best answers......
#1. Does it hurt? Yes, it does. It is very painful when I get cramps. It is the worst pain to feel, especially when you have to walk a lot.
#2. Does it affect my life? Yes. I get VERY paranoid about it, and it really distracts me.
#3. Tamp*ns or P*ds? Tamp*ns work better, but make the cramps worse by 100%.
#4. When do I get it and how do I know when I will? I get mine every 30 days or so, and it is really easy to tell when it is coming. I get really bad cramps, and sometimes feel sick.
I hope I helped! Good luck, and please tell me how your report goes!
Your friend,
Riah

It hurts like hell and you have to change it every 4 hours , a pad works best in my opinion bc it catches everything you know its coming up bc you tend to like need to shower more and you get dirtier more and easier it can last for like 3 days to 10 days and the first two years it can be all over the place (i mean it does not happen o. A certain day every month The ovaries switch off and they can be heavier on some days or more than the other ovarie and every month they switch off and when you do get cramps they hurt and it feels like someone is just stabbing you in the lower stomach...hope i helped and then some...i feel bad for u :(

I'm sorry that you are incurring some rude people. I'm over 50 and I wil answer your questions as best as I can. Getting a period does not hurt most women. Some experience cramping, bloating and irritability, but not all. Pads are usually best for women that are still virgins. The tampon has to go through a layer of skin. So if one is a virgin and/or the layer of skin has not been broken, a pad that attaches to a females undergarment will be most comfortable. Getting one's period means that a woman has reached puberty and now runs the risk of pregnancy if a condom, birth control pill or total abstinence is not used or adhered to. That would definitely be life changing. A child raising a child. and lastly, women know when they have their period. It usually comes about 28 days after the last blood flow, or shedding of the uterus because she is not pregnant.

1. Yes, cramps hurt, a lot. Mine only hurts the first day.
2. It effects my life because I get in a bad mood and just want to break down and cry. It's because of hormones. Also, I have to spend a little more time in the bathroom, and I can not do things I normally do.
3. I haven't used tampons. But, I hear they work better.
4. I know when I am getting my period because I become really moody the week before. I know I officially got it because I feel the blood leaking.

This is so awkward.

Hey, Scrubby. I'll just tell you right off the bat that I find those questions very tricky even though I'm a woman. On number 1, if she's talking about when you get your period the first time ever, no, it doesn't hurt. However, if she's talking about after you're older & have had it for a while, yes, it can be very painful for some girls. 2. It affects your normal life for most girls in the fact that your hormones can mess with your emotions and make you more sensitive; plus if you have the pain, it can stop you from doing normal activities. However, again, some girls who do not have the pain do not have to deal with the stopping of normal activities. 3. For goodness sake, what a question. Some girls can wear tampons and some girls can't. Simple as that. They both work well. One is just not as messy as the other. 4. No, not always, as far as the first time. There can be just a small discharge so it's not always evident. (Holy cow, it's like there's 2 answers to every question!) I hope I haven't led you wrong. Good luck and bless your heart.

-Absolutely not, periods are a natural part of a woman's life.. And it can sometimes be barely noticeable... But cramps can be painful and can bloat.
-Periods can give you mood swings resulting in arguments or a depressing day, and bathroom trips aren't fun.
-You will know when you get your period... Since it's blood it will be red, you can see it. There are warning sights like discharge and breakouts.
-tampons can be just as good as pads, for beginners pads are easier and less scary, and can be easier to use than tampons. but tampons are clean and more comfortable than pads, they're barely felt!

you should talk to the principal or someone about her.
1. well, the "hurting" part of it is the cramps, head/back/neckaches - not the actually bleeding part.
2. it really affects my normal life because I constantly have to worry about it, so I can't really relax ever, so that causes me to stress out, get tight muscles in my back, and not to mention get extremely cranky and moody!!
3. To me, tampons are a gift from God. I HATE pads - it makes me feel like I'm wearing a diaper, and they're so uncomfortable. But, I have to wear them at night... :/
4. When I was younger I had no idea when it was going to come next - absolutely no clue.
Nowadays, my periods gotten a lot more regular, so I can keep track of it easier - plus I'm on the pill which reaaaally helps regulate it.

I can just imagine the look on her face when she reads your paper. This is clearly unacceptable and I would report her to the principle.

First off, let me tell you, life isn't always going to go your way, and people aren't always going to be nice. Sometimes you have to tell a little white lie. Just use Wikipedia and say your mom, aunt, or grandma helped you. Second, you need to get out of that class, and tell your principal. If your teacher hates you that much to where she lets you get bullied there's an issue. What those girls are doing to you is called bullying, and she can get in a lot of trouble for letting that go on even lose her teaching license. Thirdly, good luck... You'll need it.
