tell your sister to do it herself.

My mom is making me help her. My sisters meaning of help is doing it for her.

you should know how to do those kinds of problems. it should only take you like 10 minutes...

I'm just using the answers for correcting her homework.

but still. it's not that hard. I've been out of high school since last June and I can still remember how to do them...

7 5/6 - 3 2/3 = 4 1/6
2 3/5 - 1 1/2 = 1 1/10
5 2/3 - 4 5/6 = 5/6
9 - 3 3/8 = 5 5/8
3 1/9 - 1 1/3 = 1 7/9
6 1/4 - 3 2/5 = 2 17/20

Check:
3 2/3 + 4 1/6 = 7 5/6
1 1/2 + 1 1/10 = 2 3/5
4 5/6 + 5/6 = 5 2/3
3 3/8 + 5 5/8 = 9
1 1/3 + 1 7/9 = 3 1/9
3 2/5 + 2 17/20 = 6 1/4

Hope I helped!
p.s. tell your sister that when the denominators (or bottom numbers) don't match up, multiply them together and multiply the numerators (or top numbers) by the opposite ones.
e.x. 1 2/3 - 1/2
multiply the 3 and 2 (on the bottom) for 6
Now multiply the top 2 from the two thirds by 2 because that's what you did to the bottom number.
Do the same to the 1 from the one half, but multiply it by three, because you multiplied the bottom 2 by three to get 6.

Then to simplify, try to find a greatest common multiple, or GCM. The GCM is a number that all of the numbers have in common without turning them into decimals. So, if you are trying to simplify 6/8, look at both and start with the lowest number, 2. Both the top and bottom number can be divided by two. so 6/8 is the same as 3/4.
