Any suggestions for sleeping with someone who is an extremely loud snorer?!

I wear earplugs, and have 2 loud fans going, he's tried breath right strips. Nothing has helped, I am at wits end.

My dad wears something for that. It goes in his mouth.

Sleep apnea is not from snoring lol sleep apnea is when you forget to breathe in you're sleep

Obstructive sleep apnea, causes the back of the throat to relax during sleep, creating a blockage of the airway resulting in loud snoring.

I used to use those wax earplugs and shoved them in so far it was hard to get out and even then it didnt always work. I've heard that those machine for sleep apnea work but then you gotta listen to that.

For over ten years I've slept in the couch due to my husbands snoring. We will be moving this summer and I made it very clear that I am going to have my own bedroom.

If he's overweight right now, and loses weight he won't snore nearly as much

Having the person sleep on their side might help. It helps with my boyfriend. I know how you feel, my boyfriend snores way too loud.

Something to try is have him go to sleep on his side not on his back. If he reverts to his back in the night roll him back over. It worked for me.

Have your husband tested for Obstructive sleep apnea. It is the most common type of sleep apnea and occurs when the soft tissue in the back of the throat relaxes during sleep. This causes a blockage of the airway, making the person snore loudly. Basically they are not getting enough air when they sleep and this can cause serious health problems. He should see a doctor. Take care.

In all likelihood he does have sleep apnea. He should see a doctor and get a referral for sleep testing. Once mine was diagnosed the snoring stopped. Mine was so loud I was asked to get off a commercial airline once. I had people complain in the next room in a hotel. I was loud. Now, nothing.

It's not going away unless treated by a doctor, sounds like he has sleep apnea.
