Does the tetanus shot feel like the flu shot or pierced ears or something different and more painful

Report as

I guess any needle that punctures the skin will be a bit painful.

You can feel it pumping into your blood stream.

Does that hurt?

It stings, and it makes your whole arm numb afterwards
Report as
Oh I don't care about the afterwards! I care about the shot
Report as
The numbing pain is worse than the actual shot
Report as
Is that what makes the shot so bad
Report as
nothing feels good, the shot stings then you can feel it in your veins then your arm goes numb and tingles like it's on fire

When you get it, it doesn't hurt. But afterwards it feels like you got punched really hard in the arm.

I believe it is an intra muscular shot, so the needle goes right into the muscle. It was uncomfortable but not awful. I did have a large hard raised bump for a week. Better to be safe and get it. Tetanus is way more painful than the shot!
