Does the tetanus shot feel like the flu shot or pierced ears or something different and more painful
I guess any needle that punctures the skin will be a bit painful.
You can feel it pumping into your blood stream.
When you get it, it doesn't hurt. But afterwards it feels like you got punched really hard in the arm.
I believe it is an intra muscular shot, so the needle goes right into the muscle. It was uncomfortable but not awful. I did have a large hard raised bump for a week. Better to be safe and get it. Tetanus is way more painful than the shot!
