Why did Dracula want to go to london?

I am re-reading the book and I am trying to remember why he wanted to go to london in the first place.

His reasons are never given. One might speculate that, as everyone is terrified of him, his food supply is running low, and/or that he wants to have a place to run to if he needs to flee, he chooses to buy property in London. However, none of this is stated in the book.

Dracula went to London because he had become obsessed with the fiance of Jonathan Harker, Wilhelmina "Mina" Murray, whose picture he (Dracula) has seen. This is from the original book by Bram Stoker.

But the reason Harker was there is because he was part of a property deal. The count had been buying land in london before Harker was involved. The photo of Mina came later.

Ah, yes. Well I don't remember the book, but perhaps his neighbors in Transylvania were onto his tricks and he was finding it hard to feed. In London there would be more people and they wouldn't realize the danger posed by Dracula.

Actually, Mina had nothing to do with his decision to go. While he does attack her later on because he can't feed on Lucy anymore and also out of revenge for her trying to kill him, the whole obsession thing was created later on by the readers.
