Why is mean arterial pressure measured most in intesive care unit?

Report as

Clinical significance

is considered to be the perfusion pressure seen by organs in the body.

It is believed that a that is greater than 60 mmHg is enough to sustain the organs of the average person. is normally between 70 to 110 mmHg[6]

If the falls significantly below this number for an appreciable time, the end organ will not get enough blood flow, and will become ischemic.

Arterial pressure is mostly used in the intensive care unit to determine the average blood pressure that the patient has. This is done because most of the patients in the intensive care do not have stable conditions. It is also done to get the perfusion pressure and to know how the body organs are functioning.
