What does a person mean when they say, I need somebody to vent on, without being judged?

I'm kinda slow and don't know what a person means, when they need somebody to vent on without being judge.

They mean they want to be mad and talk but don't want to be yelled at when talking.

It means they want to be able to gripe about whatever without anybody telling them why they shouldn't feel that way.

They want you to listen and here them out. With out telling other people and to keep it to yourself.

First, you're not slow, you need things explained better.
All the person is saying is, they want to tell you their feelings ( usually mad or unhappy with someone else), and they just want you to listen to them, without you thinking they are a bad person because of what they say.
