How can i get my parents to let me keep dating my boyfriend?

Today he came over and my parents made him leave and they told us we couldn't be together because he's a bad influence on me, he's irresponsible and they dont want him around me at all :'( they took away my phone, and told me i couldn't leave the house for 2 weeks.. and even when i could, i couldn't go see Eric :'( I've been friends with Eric all my life and my parents have known him as long as i have but they've never done this...they wont let me even say hi to him now.. i love him with all my heart and he loved me too, and Eric has never done anything wrong, he's always been really nice and stuff. :( but my parents dont care. how do i get them to let me see him again?

In time, you will come to realize that your parents are wise and have your best interest in mind. They love you and want the best for you. You might not see it now but follow their advice. Trust them.

If they "love me" so much, then why do they abuse me sometimes? :/

Abuse is a subjective term. You might view it as "abuse", they might view it as doing their job as parents and trying to raise a young girl to be a responsible, thinking, caring young adult. Again, you won't realize how smart and caring your parents are until later in life and particularly when you have children of your own. If you think growing up is hard, wait until you become a parent.

Look at the bigger picture. Parent don't hit their kids for no reason. Think about the situation. What might you have done that caused them to fly off the handle? Do you think you might have been pushing their buttons a bit? Do you think you might have had a role in causing the reaction? You want better parents? Here's a thought....be a better daughter.

Listen, i know when im being a bad daughter but trust me, im hardly like that. i try and be the nicest i can. There are tons of kids that have abusive families. and im one of those kids. my mom has made my face bleed before. I wasnt even doing anything to make her do that.

To the contrary. I've already said plenty. But I'm talking to a brick wall. There is nothing I or anyone else can say that will convince you otherwise. Continue to believe what you want and get back to me in ten years or so. I think you'll have a totally different perspective on your life by then.

There could be more to it than they've let on. They could have had a falling out with his parents.
