They don't want to leave anything up to an individual's judgement, to ideally treat everyone the same. I agree with you though. Also, the jury system should be rethought. It seems like the point of a trial is to fool a jury into believing your side, instead of dealing with reality.
Lawyers defend someone who clearly committed a crime by waiting for the prosecution to make mistakes and they jump through the loop hole. If you can't win yourself, make life miserable for the other side.
if you're wealthy and powerful you can get away w/ anything. A. Lindsey Lohan had she been anyone else would be in jail. B. OJ got away w/ murder. C.large companies make billions selling defective products /destroying enviroment lives, other companies. and face miniscule fines D. G Bush/ Dick Cheney committed high treason E. banks foreclosed on home owners illegally and are paying @825 average per home owner? **Our forefathers revolted over less.
Don't matter, they still need and deserve the same rights as anyone else. If not our whole Constitution is just so many useless words. I know it is frustrating at times to see someone who is , in our eyes, guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt, get a tax payed trial. That is what our judicial system is all about, can't be changed and should not be tampered with.
