After flu shot symptoms (ASAP please, may be important)

Today, my sister had her flu vaccination around 4:30pm. I know where the needle breaks the skin is usually red and somewhat sore, but it is slightly swollen, the redness is about double the area of what I found is normal, it's extremely sore, and her arm feels "tingly". I can't find anything online that is saying this is normal or not, so please share your personal findings. should I take her to the doctor??

They may have hit a nerve when they gave the shot. When I got my shot they told this year's shot was more painful than the ones in the past. If you are really concerned see if your insurance company or a local hospital has an "Ask a Nurse" number and give it a call.

When I had my shot, I asked the doctor about some pain I had the last time I got it and she didn't seem surprised at all. She told me to take Tylenol if it hurt.

The part I'm most concerned about is the "tingly" feeling on her arm. Did you experience that?

it is common for the area to be swollen and tenderup to a couple days after the shot. have her every once in awhile move her arm in circular motions or rub the area gently to help the knot go down

Flu shots are no longer active / live forms of the flu so reactions are not like they used to be. Put ice on the shot location and take an over the counter pain killer such as Ibuprofen or Tylenol.

It could be an allergic reaction. I would take her back to the doctor.
