How can i accept my body the way it is? I'm unable to work out and am not fat but I can't seem to personally accept myself as I am

I think you're being hard on yourself, everyone has strengths and weaknesses. I'm assuming you're still quite young, it does take time to grow into yourself, find who you are and feel comfortable in your body.

With presentation there is an art to it, it's a skill you can learn, the trick is to accentuate your best features while playing down what you don't like so much. With a little tweaking you may find something you didn't know you had. Go through your wardrobe, try things on looking for the most flattering shapes, styles and colours on you and stay away from anything that doesn't flatter you. There's lots on the web about finding your colours, what clothes suit what body shapes and features, same with hair and make up. A light fake tan is a quick fix that will make you look more toned and a hair treatment, trim and brow tidy will make you look more groomed. Go with your strengths and try to mix your own personal style with the trends you like.

I'll be 29 in Jan. I've had this problem the majority of my life with the acceptance thing. I used to be super skinny and always got made fun of for having no chest (i was a late bloomer) then I got a chest and the rest of me developed and I just wish my stomach was flatter. It's so annoying cause I know I'm brainwashed by the media and what society thinks a perfect or pretty person should look like but I don't understand why if I know this how it still bothers me? I just want to be happy and not let it bother me and I've tried soo many different things to change/accept it and every time I think I get to the point that I've finally accepted it and don't care any more something winds up happening or I see a pretty girl and it's all over. It's so frustrating and it's hard because I'm also very insecure...but I'm a lot better than I was. I just wish I could snap my fingers and I'd be ok.

Me too the same issue don't feel for urself there are a lot more out there and everyone has their own talent in them and a invidual face of heart.......Try using some protein powders and with some workouts u would feel better

Ya I'm not able to work out. I have a lot of injuries =( Plus I'm more muscular than I am fat so I don't need to bulk up lol

Alcohol makes you gain weight and although I enjoy drinking I'm not a lush

Even babies can workout. they kick thier feet and wave thier arms in the air while lying on thier back. They roll from their stomach to thier back on the floor. They aeroplane while on their stomach. There is even a television workout program for the elderly called sit and be fit. As for the self image issue perhaps some counseling would help.

Just know that this standard of "beauty" that society tells us we should measure up to is coming from a corrupted society. So you agreeing with that standard is you becoming corrupt. Or you agreeing with it is you agreeing with this corruption. If you can't exercise your body much well then exercise your mind. Become mentally tougher, a mentally tougher person can out wit a meat head ne day. Your mind is the most powerful weapon on this planet. The human mind allowed the most evil person in the history to execute billions of his own kind and still have those same people back him up 100%.... (Stalin) i hope this helped.
