Just a poll. What is the answer to this question? 1+1+1+1+5+2x0=? I will tell the answer after awhile and don't tell how to figure it out...

I want to see how much people get it right.

Using order of operations (PPMDAS), you multiply/divide first, and then do any addition or subtraction (unless there are parenthesis, then you'd do those first). So...

1+1+1+1+5+2x0=
1+1+1+1+5+0=
4+5+0=
9+0=
9

oops yeah...

It's 9. People who say its zero are not using the order of operations, when they should.

Report as
Yeah it annoys me so much when people ignore the order of operation. I remember, I learned it as BEDMAS
Report as
People automatically assume that because it say *0, the whole answer is zero.
