what my mom makes is very healthy it's called pizza bread, which is basically a piece of bread with sauce throw cheese on and meat. stick it in the oven for about five minutes and it tastes rally good. healthier version of pizza!
It IS bad because the cheese is WAY too loaded with fat. which we don't need. Approxiimately TWO slices is (believe it or not) ALL you are supposed to eat for a whole day! This is why we have an obesity epidemic. People are pigging out on too much at the trough.
You could call it a healthy food if you pile vegetables on it, but if it's just a cheese pizza, your eating cheese bread with some sauce. Does that sound like a healthy dinner to you? You need protein and vitamins.
It depends on how it's prepared and how much of it you eat. Pizza can be fairly healthy if you make your own. You can use whole wheat flour to make the crust healthier, and that will provide starch and fiber. Tomato sauce counts as a vegetable, so you're getting vitamins and phytonutrients there. Use part skim mozzarella and you can use a nice amount of cheese without going overboard on the fat, and you get some protein and calcium. A couple slices of that and you're doing just fine healthwise. Now, if you eat half or more of a fast food pizza with puddles of grease, that's not healthy.
