Squash, carrots, parsnips, potatoes, any fall vegetable/root would be nice. Squash soups are very good too. I would go with a "Thanksgiving," theme if it were me.

Beef, it can make you man of muscle with more strength. It will make you run out of box.

it's probably pumpkin pie for dessert, for a main meal you could have meat, anything you chouse because at the fall wedding you can eat any meat you whant, and starter meal could be a cream soup.

Think of all the foods you like or enjoyed at a wedding and then see if you can afford it. If you are doing it yourself, do a picnic type or bbq dinner w/ fried chicken, potato salad, tossed salad, hamburgers or sliders, hot dogs and cupcakes or a ready-made wedding cake. Have champagne (can buy cases of Asti or Moscato very reasonably @ a wine warehouse or make a deal w/ a supermarket w/ a liquor store) or some white, red and rose wines. plus beer & soda. Let everyone help themselves. Rent a space that is affordable, but nice and decorate from Oriental Trading or when a party chain has a sale. Or, you can pick a restaurant you like & see if they do private parties. Being creative can save money and get you compliments.

I always think of the winter squashes when I think fall...Pumpkin, Cushaw, Acorn Squash, Spaghetti Squash, etc. Pumpkin is great as a first course or last, Pumpkin Soup to Pumpkin Pie...if you are doing buffet style serving, then the little mini tart size can be a great pie too! Cushaw, Acorn Squash and Spaghetti Squash are good vegetables for the "with entree" vegetable.

For your Meat, Turkey (cheap) or Lamb (not so much). Sauces for turkey, Cranberry...or for lamb, mint.

Decorate with Pumpkins, Cranberries, fall leaves and gourds....very fall!

My daughter had a fall wedding this past October and we had a friend that transports his own grills, he does grilling contests. He made us brisket and boston butts, with baked beans, potato salad and texas toast. Fantastic!! We also had cupcakes half red velvet and half strawberry. Everyone loved it all!! Pumpkins (white) and slices of tree were the center pieces along with vases of floating candles; outside, the path leading to the bluff, where the nuptials were held, was lined with orange pumpkins and pots of various colored mums. Hope these ideas help.

Think of Lawry's, the famous prime rib restaurant - A lovely carving station, yorkshire pudding (which is NOT pudding!), a wait-staff dressed in Old English vests & puffy shirts to deliver the plates if it's a sitdown dinner. I would visit/dine there and see what you can afford to duplicate. Brisket can certainly be a fine substitute. Congrats! MVH

I know its not Thanks Giving but pumpkin pie is like a orange color and orange, red, brown, and yellow is part of the fall colors if you eat yams they're good to banana pudding, and greens even that's a spring color and not a fall color ,Good luck on your wedding! Katdaddy14

Baked pumpkin seeds, ham, olives, apple tarts, pumpkin cheesecake, fried butternut squash, chicken noodle soup, banana walnut bread, cheddar cheese, SMORES, baked beans,red-velvet cake, lemon-merigue pie, sourdough bread, maple scones, pancakes, peanut butter cookies, potato gratin, cranberry sauce, stuffing, tossed salad, mashed potatoes, and baked yams.... I do a Lot of holiday baking with my mom. She's OBSESSED with Christmas. You can decorate with pumpkins with hearts and/or your names carved/drawn on them, cornucopias, acorns, and fall leaves. If you are going to have placement cards at the reception, then you can try this creative idea, put slits in the stems of some small pumpkins, and put the name cards in them.

Something warm such as Beef Stew, Turkey and Dressing, Lasagna, Chili, Roast Chicken, Pot Roast, anything that you'd traditionally serve during the fall season. You have your choice of either beer or wine to go with the fuller bodied foods.

I would say that lamb would be nice with potatoes and some autumn vegetables. With a huge cake with a pumpkin design. Have a blessed wedding! :)

As you wanna stick to the fall theme, I would request you to incorporate it to your decoration and over all ambiance of the place. As far as food is concerned, please keep it what people will like to eat. Cup cake is a good idea.
