Hi my name is Cruz (SemperFidelis cousin) and i need help on something important read details...

ok so I'm about 245lbs 5'9 and im 17 and my one main gaol is to lose a lot of weight 60 lbs in 6 months i need help from people that know their thing (no eat healthy bullcrap that i know already and exercise i already know that also) maybe the best program to help me achieve my goal will personally help me. i want to join the United States Marine Corps with my cousin so can ya help a future Devil Dog out? thanks!!!! and Semper Fi Oorah!!!!!

Okay, I don't really know what you mean by health food crap but....eating whatever you want EXCEPT anything with grain and/or sugar in it will help you lose weight fast. So as many veggies as you want and fruit, rice, some nuts and seeds.....By the way gluten free pizza is very tasteful and filling :)

because people are thinking eat full on veggies when it's all about the calories, and Thanks for the tip! also you think it would be recommendable to join weight watchers?

I personally don't think you need weight watchers......I lost 20 lbs in 4 weeks just by skipping grains and sugar. I didn't have to lose weight......I HAD to go gluten free because I found out I was gluten intolerant. I don't have a sweet tooth at all and it was easy for me to skip the sugar....I am 5'11" and 139 lbs.....with the gluten and sugar free I don't have to go hungry. I am at this weight for 10 months already and I am not gaining.....just don't let yourself go hungry......then you will start eating the wrong things.

Oh that is okay....I am addicted to coffee (coffee is my greatest weakness)......I but I like it black...that is the way to drink it.

Losing weight that quickly doesn't sound healthy. Are you sure this is a feasible goal? Also, the main idea for losing weight is burning more calories than you take in so your body burns fat. If combined with exercise your weight loss would actually be slower because you replace fat with muscle which weighs more. Do you want to lose the weight or become physically fit??

I still think losing that much that quickly isn't the best approach. I would focus on your overall health and fitness instead of focusing on the numbers. Your body is a biological machine. Bad things can happen if it isn't worked properly.

That sounds a little better, but always make sure you don't overdo it. Gym fever always leads to injuries. I learned that the hard way haha.

Yeah. We have a nice weight set in my garage, so I rarely go to the gym. There are plenty of bodyweight exercises that are very effective as well.

You need to do a very low carb diet and run...do a lot of calisthenics too!!

Start off with jogging a mile...if that's too easy than do 2 miles..it's all on you!!

the max i can do is 2 1/2 miles non stop and it's a pretty long distance for a guy like my sizes. so probably shoot for 4 miles?

Go see a doctor and maybe they can recommend you to a nutritionist. This way you will know what to eat and what is healthy and what will get you to lose weight the fastest and healthiest. Seeing a personal trainer is also a good idea. If you really just don't want to do the work then you can get surgery but you will most likely just put back on the weight. But it is always an option.

umm first that's awesome that you want to do that! i wanna go in the military too haha anyway ummm would doing like jenny crag or like the food that you buy and eat that helps you eat count as something you already know? haha or how about eating smaller portions and not just eating when ever you feel like it try and figure out what you bad habits are like eating ice cream and if that's one try and cut it out for a week and every week try cutting something else out too that's a bad habit and oh don't eat after 7 o'clock soo your food can digest before you go to bed.. that's all i know hope it helps future devil dog! haah

The reason why people tell you to diet and exercise is because sometimes is harder to keep off the weight after you do things like the military diet, with that one you would lose 10 pounds in three days, that one might work for you because of you age(beware you might gain to back really soon), you can find it by searching it online.
I'm trying to lose some weight too. When I looking for tips people said to do a food journal, they said it worked and I can understand why. I'm on SparkTeens, you can try that too. The site will tell you how many calories, carbs, and fats you should eat each day based on your hight and age, after you add what you ate it will tell you how many more you have left. Thats on the nutrition tracker, theres also a fitness and weight tracker too(it's not hard to work).
