In the Bible God told Adam and Eve to not eat of this one "tree".They can do anything else, just don't eat of this fruit. Did God mean Sex?

Report as

The fruit was from the tree of knowledge. Adam and Eve didn't know good or evil sadness or happiness etc. They didn't even realize they were naked until after they ate the fruit, so I'm pretty sure it doesn't have to do with sex.

No.... God meant "dont eat of the forbidden fruit" But you can believe whatever you want.... Everybody has a different opinion of what the bible says... Thats why there are so many different religions.

That is why it is best to let the Bible be the authority instead of people trying to make it say what they want it to say. The answer you gave is exactly what the creator was talking about regarding the tree. Well done.

The men and women that wrote it probably should have put more through explanations in there, huh?

Are you thinking tree is a veiled reference to sex? Could be, there are so many different Bible versions with various interpretations. What do you think?

I don't know enough to say for sure.

I've read two bibles, the King James and one called something like Bible Translated into Common English (not recently), and came to the conclusion that every bible is just an interpretation from pre and post writings in an old language that no one really truly understands. What I'm trying to say is, we can't know for sure.
Consider reading a bible. it's the only way you'll understand your tree question. Wish I could be more helpful.

Take the bible literally. He did not mean sex he meant exactly what he said.

I doubt it. Sin has made sex dirty. Sex in and of itself is not a sin. God made male and female bodies to compliment each other for a reason. God created sex for pleasure - for those it was meant for. He MADE the one man to fit perfectly with the one woman. Before the original sin the world was perfect, A n E were perfect, they were created specifically for each other, mutual pleasure was theirs. God isnt a prude that way He simply made sex to be a beautiful, pleasurable act for married M/F couples. Anything else it has become was made that way by us humans. WE have violated Gods intent and turned it into something that can be bad and hurtful and and immoral and even destructive. In the Garden i expect sex was part of the perfect eternal joy of the life there. Definately NOT forbidden

God created Adam and Eve. He planned their bodies knowing they would have sex. He didn't tell them to abstain from sex, he told them to not eat the fruit. I personally do not think there is any reference to sex when He said that.

No... Lucifer had already tried to take Gods place in heaven because of pride. He wanted to be higher than God. He tests adam & Eve to see if they loved Him enough to be happy with what He had given them OR if they would want to be in control ... Denying that HE is God and HE is in control. They failed the test .. Just like Lucifer. And like WE do. We want to be above God the creator.

Sex was not part of the sin. God made Eve to be a pair for Adam as he saw the pairings of animals. Obviously, this would have included sex. His response when he sees Eve is a reaction of joy, obviously indications of the joy of sex. Also, God designed sex as a method of DNA exchange to efficiently and effectively adapt to challenges in the environment.
Whatever the "fruit" was, it caused man to be aware of sin. It involved not keeping the rules of God, and becoming aware of that failure. To this day, mankind is aware of moral failures, and this seems to be one difference between homo sapiens and other animals.

No it was the tree of knowledge. Knowing good and evil. If they would've listened to God then they would've been perfect because their intentions would of constantly been to be obedient to God there for they would've done nothing but good.
