Having sex before marriage is considered a sin, mostly because it is seen as being done for pleasure, not love and procreation, when done out of wedlock. They believe in saving their bodies for only someone they are married to. Many religions have the same or similar beliefs.
Yes, it's true. It's part of their belief system, and I only wish more would follow in their footsteps. And just look at teen mothers with few if any fathers! Theirs is a good example to follow. It's best for all of society, not just those of the Jehovahs witness. jmo.
1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; 4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them.
She is adult...can make decisions about herself. So we should give respect to her decision...& reasons are multiple, religion, her brought up, social values & customs. & above all...its very personal matter...we are nobody to discuss & suggest anything for her..
This is true. Fornication is seen as a sin.Forbidden to Christians. Jesus Christ restored God’s original standard of monogamy (Mt 5:32; 19:9) and showed the wickedness of fornication by classing it with murder, thievery, wicked reasoning, false testimony, and blasphemy. He pointed out that these come from within a man, from his heart, and defile him. (Mt 15:19, 20; Mr 7:21-23) Later, the governing body of the Christian congregation, comprised of the apostles and older men in Jerusalem, wrote to Christians in about 49 C.E., warning them against fornication, and placing it alongside idolatry and the eating of blood.—Ac 15:20, 29; 21:25.
Not only does sex before marriage go against bible principles, it's also a protection. Look how many people have had unwanted pregnancies and STDs from premarital sex. It also protects us emotionally. For more information please visit jw.org.
