Because with God comes the afterlife; humans cling to the hope that when it ends, it hasn't truly ended, and that when their loved ones die they're going to a better place.
I suppose it's also an instinct, why do we have Kings and Queens? We want to believe in a power stronger than ourselves that we can rely on to protect and care about us. as misguided as our beliefs may be, and despite all logical reasoning, the thought that we have something greater than life to believe in weasels itself into out minds. It makes sense that the human brain would grasp for some higher power.
Well, what's the point of believing there's nothing after you die? Some believe in God because they figure there has to be something after this world. I believe nothing as wonderful as what we have on this earth could have been a mistake. And I believe we as humans could not have been merely a mistake. We were created, and God created all.
first of all that can be really offensive to christians and also we believe in him because we have faith that he has more planned for us in afterlife and yes we were raised that way but do you really think that this earth just showed up out of nowhere and man were created out of nowhere. i mean it had to start at some point and i am proud to say that i believe that god is our starting point
