I beat two eggs in a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and some milk. Mix those together. Get your skillet heating up, add some butter to this. Dip my texas toast bread in the egg mixture, so it's covered on both sides. Drop bread in skillet, let brown on both sides, and voila french toast!
i ask my mom :) but i watched her make it once, and i think she like took eggs, cracked them into a bowl, and mixed it up, then put the bread in, and then put it on the pan. but she put something on the pan, cuz i tried to do it on my own, and i put nothing on the pan and well, not good :/
I Get two eggs, beat them in a bowl, add a pinch of salt, desired sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon and mix all of them together. I heat my skillet and add butter. Then I take how ever many pieces of bread I want and dip one by one in the mixture and place them on the skillet till they brown.
To make it extra special I use sourdough bread. . That with eggs beaten with a splash of milk, half & half or heavy cream. Typically I use a pie pan with the egg mixture to quickly coat the bread on each side. From there I fry the coated bread in real butter on medium high heat. . I cook until crispy on both sides, taking care that no gooey uncooked egg remains inside the bread. . Serve with heated maple syrup, whipped butter, or the syrup of your choice, and four strips of crispy bacon, and fruit on the side. . Enjoy!
Here's my favorite way: Start with cinnamon bread, dip it in egg batter made with several eggs, half & half, REAL vanilla a little salt and maybe a little more cinnamon. I can't give you exact proportions. I just do what looks right to me. Dip the bread, don't soak it too much but make sure it's covered with batter and put it on a medium hot griddle with melted coconut oil. Let it fry for a couple of minutes to a golden brown then flip. It takes a little practice but you just want to flip it once so both sides are just the right shade of brown. Serve it with lots of butter (REAL butter, the kind that starts with B not m) and REAL Maple syrup (the kind that comes from a tree). Oh yeah, I like my maple surple hot and I like link sausage or bacon but I don't want my syrup to touch my meat. I'm funny that way. I never knew there were so many ways to make French Toast. I'll have to try several of them. I like mine with Raw Guernsey milk and a cup of coffee.
I beat about 2 tablespoons of sugar (to add sweetness) and a couple pinches of cinnamon into 2-3 eggs, I like to use a sweeter and more thickly cut type of bread like challah bread or Hawaiian bread, melt butter/margarine over medium heat, dip bread into egg mixture, put dipped bread on pan, sprinkle a lil more cinnamon and sugar on both sides, don't push spatula down on bread in hopes of browning faster cause this will take the fluffiness out of the french toast, lightly brown on both sides and then you are done. :) .... I put more butter/margarine on it afterwards and then drown it in syrup before eating...not exactly the healthiest lol....but the question also wasn't how do you make your "healthiest" french toast... :P
Day-old Italian bread, 1 egg and 1/4 milk (reality, 1 sloop) per 4 slices of bread (and one extra egg, just in case), 1 teaspoon (reality, 1 small plop), and a dash of cinnamon (reality, when it looks as spotted as a leopard).
High hot griddle coated with regular Crisco. Place the dipped bread in the oil until golden brown and flip until other side is golden brown. Serve with real maple syrup (slightly warmed in hot water - do not microwave real maple syrup)
In a blender, I put 2 cups of milk, 4 eggs, cinnamon/sugar and vanilla. Putting all the ingredients in the blender eliminates the gooey egg white left on the bottom of the bowl. I use Italian white bread.
OO OOH!! I KNOW THIS ONE!!! i start with eggs. ur sposed 2 mix an mix an mix. then i put the bred in the mixd egs and just lather it all up in my bread. then i put it on the pan and i cook. then when ur bread is nice and lovely brown on both sides, you eat. personally i put cinnamon on mine. makes the taste a lot better.
I beat 2 eggs in a bowl and put a pinch of salt and pepper and put butter to not stick to the pan but fist i put cinnamon for a nice taste then i cook then i eat . YYYYYYYYUUUUUMMMMMM ! YYYYYYYYUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMM !
I either use cinnamon bread...(Preferably the Costco one...its amazing or Trader Joes)...and use pancake batter (make it just like the box tells you how)..and I dip the bread in the batter...and fry it. Its amazing..my husband claims that its better than any restaurant out there!!!
sourdough bread (use the big thick ones) 1 bread use 2 eggs. 2 breads, use 3 or 4 eggs eggs in bowl add cinnamon sugar vanilla extract nutmeg milk or mocha mix on stove, a skillet. add butter. then fry the bread medium heat until browned about 4 or 5 minutes on each side. then put it on a plate and buttered the toast, then add syrup.
I saw Bobby Flay make a french toast with maple syrup, caramel, and pecans. He made everything by hand, put it in a stainless steel bowl, in layers and put it in the oven. After it was cooked he flipped it out and it looked to die for. Maybe you can find the episode, it was on cook or food channel.

Mine's the SIMPLEST! Just: Heat a flat pan on the stove while you.. Beat 1 Egg in a bowl, take some slices of plain White Bread and put both sides of bread slice in Egg (making sure both sides of each slice are covered in Egg), SPRAY PAN WITH NON-STICK SPRAY and immediately place egg-covered slice on heated pan and sprinkle with Cinnamon.. once one side is tannish-brown, flip over and cook other side. Doesn't take long to cook both sides, so make sure you don't burn them. When done, serve on plate and cover with Maple Syrup. YUM!
