Do colleges look at every single report card?

In high school. Or do they only look at the final grade in every class? Also, what do they pay attention to the most & what years are most important? I'm a little confused, I'd really appreciate if someone took the time to explain these things to me. Thanks guys. :3

A college does not want you to embarrass them. They will look at the complete package including all grades, trend of grade point average, ACT and SAT scores, and your application (which probably had an essay portion). Depending on how competitive admissions into the school are, they will probably ignore an occasional poor grade if the overall final grades are good. If there is a pattern to poor grades, then they will look a little closer.

They look at your GPA which is the average of all your grades. They also look at if you were involved in school and other similar things

They only look at the final grades from your high school year that were printed onto your report card at the very end of every year. They don't pay attention to the grade reports from the middle of the school year or the progress reports.

What makes you say that?

Because my sister and I are currently looking for and at colleges. They look at the grade report cards from the end of the year (or have access to them if they want to view them) and your GPA, which is the average of all those grades. Most will only look at your GPA.
