I coughed and sneezed a lot. then I had to blow my nose a lot. two weeks later, I am still sneezing, but not just as much. And every 2 hours i want to take a nap. i've been taking Day Quil, which helps the achyness and the sneezing, but i still want to rest a lot. My friend said to take Zinc as soon as I started feeling poorly. I've been taking a vitamin and drinking a glass of OJ every day. Bottom line - just rest and wait it out. Stay away from others as much as possible , keep your hands away from your nose and mouth as much as possible, and wsh your hands a lot. The up side is it helps us build immunities, and we have to keep doing that to stay healthy.
For myself, I started coughing. Coughing baaaddd. So bad it makes your throat hurt. Then, I had a fever. The doctor has said that you also get muscle aches, but I didn't really have that problem. But hey. Everyone's different!
Its depends on the type of pathogen. A "cold" you may have a temperature, headache, clogged up nose achy muscles.A cold is more common. The flu is rare but can be dangerous to humans.Example the SARS virus which is deadly to humans but is carried harmlessly by bats.Avian Flu etc.Flu outbreak can cause the death of 1000's or more. The flu shot may not keep you from getting the flu,but in hope keeping you from dying from it.
