You could be suffering from severe depression and you should visit a psychiatrist for assistance. The depression could be brought about by stress or illness. Check out some more symptoms on http://www.webmd.com/depression/guide/depression-symptoms-and-types, to know if you have depression or not.

I would say yes most definately. You really need to talk to your doc.

It sounds like you just have a bad case of anxiety. Talk to you guidance counselor or someone that you think can help you through it.

Perhaps there is an identifiable common factor between the two of you. Environmental, social or other physical factors that you have both endured.

If you go to Web MD you will find self exams that will help you determine what's going on. At any rate I would talk to a counselor or psychiatrist for further evaluation and assistance

I would answer that differently depending on how old you are. Maybe this can help: Try to put things in perspective. That is, decide what is important and act on that. As for the worthlessness, I have had those feelings, too. I give of myself, helping out other people to compensate. You may indeed end up needing professional medical help. In that case, I would advise that you try to avoid drug therapy. Best of luck to you.

If you have to ask...then you probably are depressed. However, there are different degrees of depression. Speak to your doctor but don't be too quick take prescription meds. Try exercise, healthy eating and interaction with friends. If you still don't feel better then consider meds. I've been there and it does get better.
