What would define a fruit, a fruit? What would define a vegetable, a vegetable? What makes one a fruit or vegetable?

when I say this I mean what would categorize everything in categories as in all the fruits there are and not some.

The term "vegetable" is generally accepted to mean the vegetative parts of plants, the non-reproductive parts of plants. But in actual practice, it seems to be plant parts which are not sweet, which explains why peas (which are technically seeds, thus fruit) are called vegetables, as are avocados, and beans, and so on. So the differences between fruits and veggies are really not at all clear....

A fruit is the part of the plant which carries the seeds. A vegetable is any other part of the plant such as the root, leaves, flowerbud (broccoli), or stem.
