why do I not have the option to star or smiley face answers and questions?

The only option that I have is the thumbs up. I have the option to ask, answer and see my questions and profile as well. Nothing else shows up.

What do you mean? Other people have the option to give a star or smiley face. I do not. I was curious as to why.

Hmm...i wonder why. Do you use your phone? I do. Perhaps that is the reason.
