No, they shouldn't. At 12, you're too young to decide what's safe and what's a good idea. You really aren't nearly strong enough to take care of yourself should anything happen. The first time I asked to go the the movies with my friends (without my parents), my dad made me learn some self defense maneuvers and carry pepper spray. Honestly, I feel a lot safer with it :P Just grow up a bit first. *** In addition, please find a dictionary and learn how to spell "your"
I'd say no! What good can come of it really? Besides all the scary people out there 12 years olds are very impressionable and can easily start hanging with the wrong crowd. Now that being said I'm sure your 12 year old will have many arguments against me. Unfortunately for them us adults have forgotten more then they have yet to know about the world we love in
It depend on the area your from. If its a safer area then ok but still ya never know these days. But If you allow your child to roam around town alone or walk from school and stuff alone then its not much different than being at te mall alone, at least the mall should be filled with other people and potential witnesses. for me I have had sons that age who I left go places alone but now in have a 12 year old girl and I'm afraid to let her out without me or her brothers.
