There are various arguments as to whether NAACP is still important today. Those who support NAACP state that it is important to fight against the racial disparities that are still in existence. They are also important in the provision of social services.

NAACP is every bit just as racist as the KKK. racial injustices occur everyday... and not just toward blacks!!

Cuz the world is really screwed up today. Why is the KKK and Neo Nazis and Skinheads so important when their in hiding. I don't think their ever gonna come back. But I think cuz the NAACP is important cuz today if colored people (from a lot of people's opinions) say something racist its not racist but if a white person says something racist it is racist. Im white and redneck a little bit (I have a Confederate flag in my room) and I'm proud to be Southern and a proud Texan and proud of my skin color (I'm not racist I have a black friend who's a redneck) I'm not attracted to blacks or browns or mixes but I'm not racist I just don't find their women attractive and people think I'm racist for being like that. I have my beliefs and I'm entitled to keep them that way.

The NAACP was founded in 1909 by a group of multi-racial activists. It was originally called the National Negro Committee. The NAACP have played a very important part in the civil rights movement. The initials stand for the National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People. What other defense mechanism do we have ? For African -Americans , blacks or Negros ? It's all we got basically .

Discovered in 1909

first the KKK and skinheads are NOT at all important to our society. the NAACP, to me, is equally unimportant because all of these organizations are known for making situations that are not race related into situations that are. most people are multi race or multiculture... its time people recognize that. btw im a southern "redneck" from a mixed family. organizations like these are the cause for the racial biases theyve been promoting for grnerations. rodney King took his mouth off the crack pipe n said"cant we all just get along?" who says crackheads are useless?

The NAACP is not needed anymore. They are similar to Obama's preacher who need to stir the flames of racism to be relevant in any way. There are and always will be racists, it's human nature, but this country is no longer racist.

We elected a black president twice, boo boo. And he is disliked because of his politics, not his color. Does it make you feel politically correct to say the NAACP is still relevant?

They should be for unity and are not they exclude othere races so I find that Absolutly terrible we should be united not separated I find the NAACP likes to separate and condemn or throw accusations to those that are not for there race it's wrong why do they only see race . How ridiculous and not thinking is that .
