you can but you need to be sure to kaap an eye on you BGL's. if you are on insulin, it is best not as you could have too much sugar, then have a shot of insulin and it is really not good for your body to be all up and down like that. it is best to avoid sweets or stick to sweets that are not too sugary.
If its added into your meal plan. A little candy could be part of a meal in which case you need to calculate the total # of carbohydrates in the meal and adjust your insulin accordingly. You really should talk to a nutritionist .
