How do you know God is really there for you?

I am a 14 and just trying to find my way through the world. I am part of a church, youth group, and bible reading group. I was confirmed recently. I believe in God because that's what my parents do. Im trying to find God for myself and wondering if he really is their for me. Im not saying that there is no God..because I know he is there. But, can someone tell me how he is there and how do you know? And please, dont put "THERE IS NO GOD". I dont want any of that.

I'm 14, too and for a while I was starting to believe God wasn't real because I'd never "felt him in my heart" like everyone said. So one day I sat down and I prayed. It was about 10 minutes of "casual talk" actually. And I guess I did feel him or whatever you want to call it. I kinda cried, too O_O

Try prayer. Don't thank him for your day (even though you should, I just mean not right now) but talk to him. It's a good outlet, too.

I know what you mean. I think there is more to this life than winning the "get the money" game. I think we are all hear for a reason. I've never been to Australia, but I know it's there. I've heard people talk about it, I've seen pictures, read books about it and it makes sense to me. I've never seen a leopard, but I've seen them on t.v. and read about them. I just believe and have faith that they are there. You just need to know it in your heart and have faith. That's what it comes down to. Faith.

You don't. I say I believe because my parents forced it on me my entire life. I don't believe myths because they aren't real. If I can't see it I don't believe it.

Blessed are those who believe yet do not see!
You know electrity works yet you can not always understand yet will you sit in the dark and not believe?
God says "My ways are higher than your ways".
If we could only see thru His Veil...
We would all be believers.
He wants us to trust Him and His Son and His Word.
Believe on the name of the Lord and you shall be saved.
Believe in your heart(not in your head)

The truth is that there is nothing that will complete your life more, or be more satisfying to you, than having a personal relationship with God. Believe it or not, there is nothing more satisfying to Him, as well. 2 Timothy 2:19a says, "The Lord knows those who are his." And Exodus 33:13 says, "If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you." And Philippians 3:10, "I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death." From those verses, we begin to see that this relationship with God is reciprocal. He knows us; we know Him.

If it is possible ... Sign up to go on a mission trip. To a really poor country. Feed a starving baby. Play with a little child that only knows hunger. Watch the smile on the little faces. Then realize how lucky you are to have a
home and friends and loving parents.
And say a prayer of thanks to God because you were born in AMERICA.

Yes, always. The Bible tells us that God is always with us. You can experience and enjoy the reality of His presence by coming to know Him intimately through prayer, worship and the study of His Word, by being obedient to His commands, by walking in the Spirit and by exercising your faith to believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him ( Heb. 11:6).

First you need to acknowledge God. Go to Him and with your mouth in prayer tell Him what's on your heart. Acknowledge Him for who He is. Then ask Him though The Holy Spirit to teach you His Word ( The Bible ). Pray,Talk To Him,Read His Word, And Praise And Worship Him.

God should be real to you. Read biblical accounts of men and women of ancient times who trusted and firmly believed in God. Regarding Moses, the apostle Paul wrote in Hebrews 11:27 "By faith he left Egypt, but not fearing the anger of the king, for he continued steadfast as seeing the One who is invisible." Moses could not physically see God, but he remained faithful and saw him with his spiritual eyes. He was real to him.

Honestly- you can't know. It's either something you believe or something you don't. You can't force yourself to believe something you just don't, or the opposite.

Read these verses:Psalm 62:8,
Proverbs 3:5, Isaiah 50:10.
And to help you NOT listen to JW folks(Jehovah Witness).... Read 1John 3. False witnesses/false religion. Their bible is not God's Holy
Bible! Believe me... I have studied them and compared it against the Truth .

I use the ultimatum method. I pray for what I want and then, instead of saying Amen, I say, "Are you going to answer this prayer or not?" And he either does or he doesn't/

I won't tell you there is no god but i am atheist. I always felt like others were getting it more than me until I realized no one is- they just have faith. I think god is there for no one but its up to you to find that out for your self. Consider that your parents are right and do things for a reason but also consider that just doing what your parents do isn't always right. My mom is Christian and I listened to her but I don't agree there is any gods. I would only suggest that you look very hard at reality and see it for how you see it- not how someone else tells you it is.

Sometimes it is the trials we go through that cause us to draw closer to God. However, once you begin to truly rely upon Jehovah and "throw your burden upon Him", you will see the blessings in your life.
