My furnace is out and needs to be repaired. Should I turn off the main water so the pipes won't freeze? It is below freezing outside.

You could leave one or two at a very slow drip, and they won't freeze. I do it all the time.

Aha, can tell I've been away from that jucky freezing weather for a while; Good answer, Clickety! ******Had forgotten about that trick. It Does work.
