What can help dried & damaged hair?

I've bleached some hair 1/2 years ago, & dyed my whole head browns & burgundy colors many times over the past 2 years.i have split ends/damaged/dry hair.I'm not planning on dying it or cutting it cause my friend said cutting makes it worse. I hear argon oil helps but does Anybody have at home remedies or know good treatments I can buy under $10?

You should trim the split ends regularly. Also, I have bleached my hair many times and a cheap condition that works good is Aussie 3 minute Miracle and you can get that at Walmart. If you live near A Sally Beauty Supply Store they have good treatment packets like Ion Intensive Repair and those are usually on sell for 99 cents a packet. :)

I know this sounds weird, but cover your hair in mayonnaise or olive oil (either is pretty nasty) and wrap your hair up in plastic wrap. Leave it on for a few hours each day, ideally as you sleep, and it will work. My sister had the same hair situation, and she did this.

The only way to get rid of split ends, is to trim your hair. Cutting your hair won't make this situation worse. How does that even make sense. Stop bleaching your hair, that is exactly your problem.

Did you not read the part that I'm not bleaching my hair anymore?-___-

You seem to think cutting your hair will cause more damage, so telling you that bleaching your hair is the problem fits.

Cut all your split ends or damaged hair off, then deep condition as much as possible. Don't use hot tools or die your hair as much anymore. You can put eggs in your hair if you choose too. It may help.

Ok- it doesn't seem like any of these answers are from an actual hairstylist so- get a good cut. That's most important. If you don't get your split ends cut, (even a small amount every 6-8 weeks) they eventually travel up the hair shaft causing more and shorter breakage, ultimately resulting in damage to the follicle. Don't let it get that bad. Search for a salon that sells Joico and ask if they have K-Pak. At least get the shampoo and conditioner and possibly one of the leave in treatments. After a month of using it, you will see and feel your hair in much better condition. It's amazing for damaged hair. Try to stay away from coloring and using curling irons or flat irons until your hair is healthier. You should also invest in a nice argan oil. Always use a heat protectant spray before blow drying and styling. Good luck finding anything effective under $10. Mayo/olive oil does nothing but make your hair greasy. obviously money is tight for everyone but if you are not an experienced stylist you should think twice about coloring your own hair.

I've been bleaching for 2 years now and had dyed my hair every other natural color before that. So my hair got super damaged to the point where it wouldn't grow and just broke off. I use Argan oil. I also take biotin pills. The main thing I did to help my hair was use wen. I don't use it anymore, but that stuff saved my hair and got it back to a healthy point. It's definitely worth the money to buy it once.

Use a good conditioner WITH OIL in it, and trip the split ends. Also don't wash your hair every day and don't wear it up all the time.

I had major split ends, and I know what you're going through. What I do is a deep- cleansing conditioner treatment once every week. Where you get a handful of your favorite conditioner, I prefer Pantene but whatever floats your boat, and then I spread thoroughly through my hair (Not on my scalp though, it makes my hair greasy) and I sit in my steamy bathroom after a shower with my conditioner hair wrapped tightly in a towl. I let it settle for 15-20 minutes and then hop back in the shower to rinse it out, I saw a major difference right away! It made my hair majorly soft and legit got rid of most of my split ends! Should deffinaty try this, and if it doesn't work, try hair vitamin pills?

There are shampoos out there that heal split ends and dryness. A good example of this is Herbal Essences. You just need to look. It usually says it on the label. Also, it could be because of the hairbrush you are using that causes your split ends.

Any split ends won't help, they'll slow down the process, there are shampoos that help this and many home remidies using avocados and such

Conditioner that is specified to your hair type. For example, my hair is thick and curly, so i use the Pantene Medium Thick conditioner. As for the split ends, the only way to get rid of those that I know of is to get your hair trimmed. My aunt told me that, and she is a hair dresser.
