only if they HAVE to contact somebody, like their parents, or else all the lunch room will be is people texting and gaming, so there will be no talking or socializing and that could affect how the child grows up
I don't think it would be such a good idea for students to bring their phones to lunch with them because it is such a distraction, not that you learn things in the cafeteria, but once you get on your phone and you start texting someone, nobody wants to say goodbye because they have to go back to class. The students would keep their phones out during class. It would also cause more chaos, people would be more rambunctious and loud from watching funny videos and etc. Plus, personally, if I were a student allowed to bring it to lunch, I would probably carry it around throughout the whole day because I'd think,"If it's okay during lunch, it's okay anywhere right?"
That's based on school policy, what is your school's policy? I'm guessing its not permitted. Cell phones are not allowed to be on your person in my sons school. They are required to leave them in their lockers or they will be confiscated!!!
