Do you have to pay for internet on the ipad 2 ?

If you use wifi hotspots to access Internet, you do not need to pay. For example, all McDonald's offer free wifi, as do Paneras, and Starbucks. When you visit friends & family who have access in their homes you should be able to access Internet through their wireless while there.

You either need a wifi connection (that someone pays for) or you need a ~$12/month data plan from either AT&T or Sprint.

internet is not free any where on any device. because internet is people running a buissness and they need OUR money to keep them going.
